Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Trauma/Surgery Duration: Not specified Shift: Given shifts, no block schedules Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Experience in a high acuity environment Description: High acuity floor position in a surgical trauma unit. Willingness to work given shifts is essential. No block scheduling options are available. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. No requests for time off (RTO). Experience with electronic health record systems (EPIC) is mandatory. The patient population includes surgical patients, gunshot victims, quadriplegics, and paraplegics. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1. Phlebotomy services are available on the unit. A unit secretary is present during night shifts. Collaboration with emergency department nurses is required for nurse handoffs.
