CONTRACTS SPECIALIST Professional Hollywood, MD, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1331 Salary Range: $47,826.09 To $62,200.00 Annually JOB TITLE: Junior Contracts Specialist DEPARTMENT: Contracts REPORTS TO: Director of Contracts CLASSIFICATION: Exempt CLEARANCE: Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Security Clearance LOCATION: Hollywood, MD Job Summary The Junior Contracts Specialist supports the administration of contracts throughout the contract lifecycle. This role is responsible for maintaining contract records, processing contract modifications, coordinating approvals, managing agreements, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and applicable federal regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Support the administration of contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and applicable regulations, including FAR, CFR, agency acquisition regulations, and OMB circulars. Create, maintain, update, and archive contract records, deliverables, correspondence, and modifications within SharePoint. Enter and update contract information in Costpoint, OnePlan, and other contract management systems, including contract awards, modifications, periods of performance, funding changes, and FAR/DFARS clauses. Coordinate with Program Management, Finance, Operations, and external customers to facilitate contract administration activities and maintain accurate contract data. Assist with contract financial administration, including project setup, contract modifications, funding updates, billing support, and revenue-related activities. Generate and prepare routine contract reports, including deliverables tracking, contract backlog reports, billing registers, standard bills, and biweekly status reports. Support contract review and approval workflows by routing documents, tracking approvals, and following up with stakeholders to ensure timely processing. Assist with the preparation, tracking, and administration of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), consultant agreements, and related modifications. Maintain agreement records, trackers, and supporting documentation. Support FAA registration compliance activities, including maintaining aircraft registration records, processing annual N-Number renewals, updating internal systems, and ensuring documentation remains accurate and complete. Perform other duties as necessary and/or assigned. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Contracts Management, Legal Studies, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, or an additional 4+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree. 0-2 years of experience in contracts administration, procurement, project coordination, finance, or a related business environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint. Experience with Deltek Costpoint, OnePlan, or similar contract management systems preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of contract administration principles and federal contracting regulations, including FAR and DFARS. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Familiarity with the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with Federal Government contracting processes and requirements. Experience supporting government contracts, subcontract administration, or proposal activities. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
