Work may also include tasks such as assisting faculty with research, preparing reports, entering data or other responsibilities as assigned. The duties of a full-time GAR require a maximum of 20 hours of work per week. Minimum GA requirements are: Full/Conditional Admission to East Texas A&M University master's, specialist or doctoral program A minimum of six hours of registration Good academic standing Successful completion of Responsible Conduct in Research and Scholarship training through CITI. Must be awarded federal or state work-study through Financial Aid May work up to 19 hours per week during the semester May work full-time during breaks and summer if returning in the fall Must not work during scheduled class times Positions are limited to the amount awarded and must follow program guidelines Graduate assistantships offer opportunities to teach, conduct research, or assist in academic departments while continuing your graduate education.
