About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Valid State License (Compact License Required) Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Experience in high-risk perinatal care Proficiency in labor and delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation Description: This position involves providing care in a high-risk perinatal unit. The candidate should have experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries per month, but candidates with 100-200 deliveries will also be considered. The staffing goal is 1:1 care in labor, 1:3 couples in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum. Triage is staffed with skilled RNs and surgical technicians as needed. Daily responsibilities will include administration of medications, blood products, assessments, and support during labor and delivery. Candidates should be able to assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum education for parents. Skills related to monitoring fetal heart rates, drawing blood, and managing complications must be demonstrated. The role may require floating to different areas, so flexibility is essential. Additionally, working three of five major holidays is a requirement. All certifications mentioned are mandatory.
