St. Mary's Healthcare has also been named a 2026 Times Union Top Workplace—the first acute care hospital in the Capital Region to earn the distinction since the Times Union launched the recognition program 15 years ago.Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days & Weekends Hours Per Week: 40 hr./weekHiring Range: $18.39 - $24.59/hr.Below are the shift differentials based on eligible shifts worked:Weekday evening shift - additional 10%Weekday night shift - additional 15%Weekend day shift - additional 10%Weekend evening & night shifts - additional 21%The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Responsibilities:Prepare, package, label, and distribute medications under the supervision of a pharmacistRefill and maintain automated dispensing cabinets, medication carts, and medication kitsDeliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely mannerMaintain and rotate medication inventory, including removal of expired productsPrepack medications from bulk bottles into unit-dose packaging, ensuring accurate labelingReceive, verify, and stock pharmaceutical medications and suppliesPrepares medication orders for the pharmacy departmentCommunicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, and healthcare team membersIdentify and report medication discrepancies, errors, or safety concerns to the pharmacist in chargeCertified technicians may be eligible to perform expanded duties based on qualificationsPerforms other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
