Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics through recognized assessments and observational evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions emphasizing language development, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing facilitation.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and families to enhance progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure fluidity in patient care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the profession through professional development and community collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within the first 30 days of employment.
