Surgical Technologist - Labor and Delivery

Join our fast-paced, high-volume Labor & Delivery team as a Surgical Technologist I, supporting life-saving surgeries and critical care across the unit. Your expertise ensures the highest quality of maternal and newborn care in every procedure.

The UNC REX Labor & Delivery OR provides comprehensive care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. We specialize in caring for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients in a state-of-the-art environment, including:

3-bay OB Emergency Department (OBED)
20 labor rooms
3 Operating Rooms (ORs)
3 Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) bays

Our nurses, surgical technologists, and assistants work closely with physicians to support Cesarean sections and obstetric procedures. The unit is staffed by OB Hospitalists, private practice OB/GYNs, and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), ensuring rapid, expert care at every stage of labor.
