Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer DoD Secret Security Clearance Vehicle Patrol Driver in Menlo Park, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and research location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of research, office, laboratory-adjacent, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
