Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity offers a rewarding role as a Staff Pharmacist specializing in managing complex therapies for patients with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other chronic conditions requiring infused medications. The position is based in Hendersonville, TN, within a specialty pharmacy setting known for its patient-focused care model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmaceutical care tailored to patients with unique therapeutic needs, including factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and a variety of subcutaneous and IV infusion treatments.
- Provide detailed patient and family education on drug administration, side effect management, adherence strategies, and safe handling of medications at home.
- Facilitate coordination of care by working closely with physicians, nurses, and internal care coordinators to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with reimbursement specialists to navigate insurance plans, secure prior authorizations, and identify financial assistance resources for patients.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Tennessee Pharmacist License (required)
- Arkansas Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain within first 90 days
- Experience with CareTend software is highly advantageous; training will be provided if needed
- Openness to obtaining additional state licenses as required
- Strong clinical expertise in specialty pharmacy or infusion therapies preferred
