Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant – Orthopedics

Location: Dallas, TX Onsite

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 / Per Hour/ based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

About Our Client

Addison Group is hiring for our client, an established orthopedic and spine practice serving both pediatric and adult patients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The practice is seeking Certified Medical Assistants to support its clinical teams and provide a high level of patient care.

Two opportunities are available: one supporting a pediatric orthopedic team and one supporting an adult orthopedic team . Both positions involve a combination of clinical Medical Assistant responsibilities and patient-facing administrative support.

Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and front-office team members to support patients throughout their visit. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, collecting payments, and assisting with overall clinic workflow.

Candidates should be comfortable traveling between assigned DFW clinic locations. Schedules and locations will be communicated in advance.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
• Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs
• Assist physicians and nursing staff with daily clinical workflow
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
• Perform patient check-in and check-out
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Collect and process copays, coinsurance, and outstanding patient balances
• Enter charges and payments accurately
• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, providers, and staff
• Provide administrative and clinical support as needed
• Travel between assigned clinic locations based on the provider schedule

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient or physician-practice setting
• Comfortable performing both clinical and front-office responsibilities
• Experience obtaining patient histories and vital signs
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
• Ability and willingness to travel between assigned DFW clinic locations
• Dependable transportation required

Pediatric Team

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Previous pediatric experience is highly preferred
• Must be comfortable traveling between clinics in Plano, Flower Mound, Frisco, and Dallas

Adult Team

• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
• Previous orthopedic or spine experience is highly preferred
• Primarily based in Dallas , with travel to Plano and Frisco as needed
