RN - Progressive Care Unit Night ShiftJoin a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate and professional nursing care in a progressive care unit setting. This full-time night shift role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established policies and standards.Key Responsibilities:Assess patients to identify care needs and organize appropriate interventions.Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations.Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.Monitor quality of care using outcome-based indicators.Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological, psychosocial, and cultural needs.Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.Requirements:Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the applicable regional licensure.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Effective organizational and leadership abilities.Understanding of age-specific developmental, physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual patient needs.Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.Ability to safely handle exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.This position serves a diverse population in a regional healthcare setting located in the Southeastern United States, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment focused on patient-centered care and professional growth.
