Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Marlton, NJ. This position is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. The role includes reconciling bank and credit card statements, processing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting payroll and expense reporting. The Staff Accountant will prepare basic financial reports, help monitor budgets, and collaborate with operations and management to ensure accurate financial information for each restaurant location. The role also involves maintaining organized financial records, supporting audits, and helping improve accounting processes and internal controls. Qualifications Strong general accounting skills, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management and invoicing. Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks or similar), Microsoft Excel, and other standard office applications. Ability to prepare and review basic financial statements, support budgeting, and assist with period-end close activities. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement. Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with both finance and operations teams. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus.
