Pay: $24.50 per hour

Facility Maintenance Technician Position Overview: (1st shift)

We are seeking a dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to help keep a manufacturing facility operating safely, efficiently, and in good working condition. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, cleaning, inspections, and preventive maintenance on building systems and support equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working with a variety of facility and mechanical systems.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
• Assist with basic electrical repairs and replacement of lighting components.
• Perform plumbing repairs and installations, including PVC and copper piping.
• Support maintenance of boilers, air compressors, chillers, refrigeration systems, and related equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, inspect, and monitor equipment for signs of wear or needed repairs.
• Replace and maintain HVAC and ventilation filters, belts, and related components.
• Repair interior and exterior walls and perform painting as needed.
• Make minor floor repairs, including epoxy corrections.
• Replace light fixtures, lamps, ballasts, and other facility components.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and sanitation activities.
• Help maintain an organized maintenance parts area and support parts ordering and inventory activities.
• Complete maintenance work orders and document completed repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using workplace organization practices.
• Follow safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions or injuries.
• Work cooperatively with maintenance staff, supervisors, and other departments.
• Complete required training and perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous facility, building, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Carpentry experience is helpful.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and work orders.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 10 lbs. And occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated areas.
• Ability to work around electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and temperature-controlled equipment.
• Comfortable working in areas where heat and noise may be present.
• Must follow all required safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
