Shift: Days 7:30AM–5:00PM CT (orientation shifts)

Duration: 9.5 hours

Experience: 1+ year of acute hospital experience in the last 5 years

License: Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide respiratory care under physician orders, including ventilator management and weaning
Administer aerosol/nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy and airway clearance
Draw and analyze ABGs where applicable and respond to rapid responses/codes
Accurately document care and follow infection control and equipment safety protocols

Requirements

Must have 1+ year of acute care hospital RT experience
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license
NBRC credential (RRT or CRT)
Active BLS, ACLS and PALS Certification
Negative TB within last 12 months
Hep B Series or Titer
MMR Series or Titer
Tdap Vaccine within last 10 years or Titer
Varicella Series or Titer
