Cook Job Summary

Cook Responsibilities
Prep, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
Cook menu items to Big Woods standards for taste and consistency
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintain clean, organized cooking stations
Plate dishes according to restaurant presentation standards
Communicate with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service
Monitor food quality throughout preparation
Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
Support kitchen team during busy shifts
Cook Qualifications
Experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, or kitchen staff preferred (but not required)
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and follow recipes
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
ServeSafe Certification preferred (not required)
On‑the‑job training provided
