The Trust Operations Specialist supports the daily operational activities of the Trust & Investment Management team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building a career in banking, finance, or trust operations. In this role, you will learn how trust and investment accounts are handled by assisting with transaction processing, account maintenance, reporting, and recordkeeping. You will work closely with experienced team members and receive training on processes, systems, and regulatory requirements while helping ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time.

This position provides exposure to a variety of trust operations functions through training and rotational assignments.

Key Responsibilities

· Process routine transactions and account activities by following established procedures and deadlines.

· Ensure the completion of security income processing.

· Review forms and other paperwork for completeness and accuracy before processing.

· Enter and maintain account and asset information in internal systems.

· Monitor transactions and research discrepancies, escalating issues to senior team members when needed.

· Help maintain organized records and ensure documentation is properly retained.

· Generate client statements and routine operational reports according to established schedules.

· Support the preparation of operational reports and account-related information for review by senior staff.

· Communicate professionally with internal team members, financial institutions, and service providers regarding transaction status and documentation needs.

· Participate in cross-training opportunities to learn different Trust Operations functions.

· Assist with special projects, audits, and other department initiatives as assigned.

· High school diploma or equivalent with previous customer service, administrative, banking, or office experience.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment and is largely sedentary in nature. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach, or lift and move office materials weighing up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus on computer screens and written materials.
