Healthcare Shadowing: One-Week Observations

Job Summary Hendricks Regional Health job shadowing opportunities are available for those interested in shadowing one specific department or position. This is not an internship but a one-time unpaid shadowing opportunity. Job Description Job shadow/Observation students will observe/shadow a healthcare provider or team to determine if that role is a fit for them. The Volunteer Services team coordinates job shadow/observations scheduling and attempts to match individuals with the most relevant, enriching opportunity. Qualifications Must be at least 16 years old for standard job shadow experiences (some opportunities require participant to be 18 years old) Observation only Does not extend beyond 7 days Provide vaccine documentation and additional documentation as requested by a Volunteer Services coordinator Application Requirements Applications must list specific areas of interest and dates of availability at least 3 weeks to a month in advance from the application date.
