Production Technician

Position Summary
The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and repairing aerospace components and systems in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production goals by following detailed work instructions, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on products and subassemblies.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify product quality and conformance.
• Operate production equipment, hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and effectively.
• Accurately complete production documentation, inspection records, and manufacturing reports.
• Identify and escalate quality, safety, or process concerns to supervisors and engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with team members, manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to meet production schedules.
• Adhere to all aerospace, quality, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification, vocational training, or relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, electronics, manufacturing, or assembly environments is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools, precision measurement devices, and test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
