Physical Therapist, Full Time

Overview Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Position Details Physical Therapist $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS Mercy Hospital Washington 901 E 5th Street Washington, MO 63090 Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours/week Responsibilities Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding referrals, standards of treatment, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of practice. Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before caring for patients independently. Preferred Experience: Six months to one year of experience in rehabilitation physical therapy; experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking during each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
