We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector  to join a growing fire protection and life safety organization in Hickory, NC. About the Role

The Fire Sprinkler Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on a variety of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems. You will work directly with customers to identify system issues, explain system functionality, and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler and suppression systems.
• Inspect and service wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with fire suppression systems.
• Verify proper operation and functionality of fire protection equipment.
• Provide customers with instruction regarding system operation and functionality.
• Maintain accurate inspection, service, activity, and productivity documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable NFPA codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and address questions, concerns, and service needs.
• Manage assigned jobs and work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Properly maintain and care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, lifts, and other resources.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience inspecting and servicing fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET Level I certification – required.
• NC State Sprinkler Inspection License – required.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection standards.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system issues.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field position and requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
• Work in commercial, industrial, and outdoor environments.
• Work in environments that may involve noise, dust, heat, low-light conditions, and other challenging conditions.
• Use hand and power tools, including equipment used for cutting, drilling, grinding, fastening, and other mechanical tasks.
• Properly use fall protection and other required safety equipment.

Compensation

• $30-$40/ HR DOE
