Release of Information Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Release of Information (ROI) Specialist to join our team. The Release of Information Specialist will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including processing and completing medical records requests with accuracy and efficiency; answering phones and assisting patients, providers, and other stakeholders with professionalism and courtesy; retrieving and returning patient charts; and scanning and maintaining medical records within the electronic system. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor, consistent with the individual's skills and abilities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This individual must be comfortable engaging with patients and staff in a professional and compassionate manner while maintaining strict confidentiality standards. A solid understanding of computer systems, particularly electronic medical records, is important for success in this role. The ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities effectively is essential.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
