Shift Leader

Description A Shift Leader is responsible for the restaurant's overall operations during his/her shift, including supervising the staff to ensure that company standards and policies are followed, costs are controlled, inventory is maintained, guests are served quickly and efficiently, and guest feedback is collected and acted upon. The Shift Leader also maintains a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, demonstrates care for guests and employees, and upholds the company’s operational quality and cleanliness standards. This position includes basic computer administrative duties. Responsibilities Ensure all company standards, policies and procedures are met. Ensure costs are properly controlled. Communicate clearly with employees, supervising them effectively to ensure their assignments are completed properly. Inventory supplies and reorder items. Adjust the Par Prep Sheet so that fresh product is continually available to serve guests. Observe and guide crew members as they perform their assignments, reallocate labor and coordinate overall operations. Ensure guests are served quickly and efficiently; solicit guest feedback and resolve guest complaints. Qualifications Basic computer skills for administrative duties. Ability to learn in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to maintain acceptable cash variances. Reliable transportation. Professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times. Physical Requirements Stand for up to 8 hours during a shift. Lift up to 50 pounds.
