Job Details Job Location: TX02 OSANT East Plano - Plano, TX 75023 Position Type: FT Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 hourly Company: Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas Position Purpose We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and patient‑focused Dental Surgical Assistant to join our oral surgery team. This role is essential in supporting our surgeons during procedures while ensuring a safe, efficient, and exceptional experience for every patient. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering high‑quality care. You will play a key role in both clinical support and patient interaction, contributing directly to the success of the practice. Principal Responsibilities and Duties Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and available. Prepare patients for surgery, review post‑operative instructions, and provide reassurance to ensure a positive experience. Maintain strict sterilization protocols and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Set up and break down surgical rooms efficiently, ensuring readiness for each procedure. Take and process dental radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging as needed. Monitor and maintain clinical inventory, ensuring adequate stock of surgical materials and supplies. Work closely with surgeons, front office, and clinical team members to ensure seamless patient flow and operational efficiency. Support additional clinical and administrative tasks as needed to meet the needs of the practice. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous dental or oral surgery assisting experience preferred. Current certification as a Dental Assistant (if required by state). Radiology certification preferred (if applicable). Knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control standards. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast‑paced surgical environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with a team‑oriented mindset.
