Company is a fourth-generation wholesale food distributor providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users. Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver Non CDL Route Delivery to work in our distribution warehouse in Ravenna, OH.

Compensation - Average annual salary $55,000-$65,000 per year which includes:

• Starting Hourly wage of $18.00-$19.00 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Typical work week is 45-55 hours per week

Work Schedule

• Monday-Saturday, off Sunday and one other day per week.
• Start time typically 5:00am; work until work is completed, usually 10-12 hours per day.
• No layovers, home every day.
• Redeliveries and same-day deliveries within 150-mile radius of Ravenna, OH.
• Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Main duties are route delivery but includes some warehouse duties, spotting trucks, etc.
• Fingerprint 400-600 cases per day, highly physical, touch freight.
• Some deliveries require going up and down stairs.
• Work in refrigerated environments inside and outdoor elements, year-round.
• Route delivery, driver unload using ramp and 2-wheel hand cart
• Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to restaurants, schools, and end users
• Drive 22'-26' box truck with airbrakes to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
• Secure pallets using straps. Strap and unstrap at each delivery.
• Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
• Use of keys, alarm codes, tablets, etc. for overnight deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
• Hold a valid Driver's License from any state in the United States of America.
• Minimum 1 year delivery experience required.
• Local, multiple-stop delivery using ramp and hand cart is highly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical.
• Be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds with no assistance.
