Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic
Location: Newport News, VA

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and patient‐focused Physical Therapist to join a growing outpatient orthopedic practice. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced rehabilitation techniques and technology to help patients recover from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapy for orthopedic and post‐surgical conditions
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, traction, modalities, and other evidence‐based interventions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Supervise care provided by Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
• Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and home exercise programs
• Complete accurate and timely documentation (evaluations, re‐evaluations, daily notes, flow sheets, clinical records)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and professional practice standards
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
• Participate in team‐building activities and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education and professional development
• Engage in community outreach and health promotion initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in Virginia
• 0–2 years of clinical experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
