Child Care Teacher

Position: Childcare Teacher (Full‑Time). Primary work hours Monday through Friday, flexible between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm. The teacher will support our top‑notch childcare team, providing high‑quality care to children of Quad employees and the community. Key Responsibilities Effectively manage groups of young children to ensure a safe, nurturing and supportive environment. Supervise and interact with children outdoors for extended periods of varied weather conditions. Collaborate with other teachers. Maintain a clean and organized classroom consistent with health and safety standards. Follow daily safety procedures such as cleaning and sanitization. Assist children with daily activities. Make daily observations of children's health, reporting conditions that require attention and documenting in compliance with state licensing requirements. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with parents on a daily basis. Show initiative for self‑improvement by attending conferences, courses and reading professional materials. Job Requirements Education and Experience: Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis. Education: An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or Early‑Middle Childhood Education. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Early Childhood I, II, Infant/Toddler certifications CPR First Aid Shaken Baby Certification Bloodborne Pathogen Training (Quad) Child Abuse and Neglect certification from an accredited school School Age certification Registered in Wisconsin Registry Program (Wisconsin Early Care Professional Development) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to lift up to 40 pounds several times a day. Ability to respond to emergency situations. Positive attitude and good people skills. Monitoring children in a child‑care setting. Completing daily routine forms per center and state licensing requirements. Cleaning and sanitizing rooms, furniture, and toys. Mediating conflict between children. Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, families, and children. Physical Demands Manual dexterity required. Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, work indoors or outdoors, assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
