Controller Position
With Staff Management | SMX, you'll get a weekly paycheck, learn new skills, meet new people, and work with a great management team in a clean and safe environment. We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and finance functions for our manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role serves as a key member of the leadership team, ensuring sound financial management, accurate reporting, and operational support.
Pay Rate: $55-$70/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Assignment Length: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $55.00 - $70.00 / hour
Duties:
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, general ledger accuracy, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and budget-to-actual variance analyses.
- Manage annual audits and support compliance with accounting and tax requirements.
- Maintain effective internal controls and safeguard company assets.
- Monitor inventory, fixed assets, cash flow, and working capital.
- Track capital expenditures and provide profitability analysis to support business decisions.
- Develop management reports and support continuous process improvements.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for the corporate office.
- Perform additional accounting and finance functions as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of accounting and management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Requirements: Background Check, Must be at least 18 years old. Able to Lift 30 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
