CFO

A mission-driven, multi-site behavioral health organization in Western Massachusetts is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This organization is a cornerstone of care in its region, delivering comprehensive mental health, substance use, crisis, and community-based services to thousands of individuals and families each year. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a critical role in guiding financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic planning. You’ll partner closely with clinical, operational, and board leadership to ensure resources are aligned with mission and regulatory requirements in a highly dynamic healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit Oversee funding streams including Medicaid, state contracts, grants, and other public sources Provide strategic financial insight to support expansion of services and programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations Optimize revenue cycle management and reimbursement processes Partner with executive leadership on capital planning, investments, and risk management Present financial performance and strategy to the Board of Directors Ideal Candidate Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or complex nonprofit environments Deep understanding of public funding mechanisms (e.g., Medicaid, state contracts) Experience managing multi-entity or multi-site financial operations Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at the executive and board level Track record of driving financial transformation and operational improvements CPA or advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or similar) preferred Why This Role Join an organization that serves as a critical safety net provider in its community Influence strategy across a broad continuum of care—from crisis services to long-term support Lead during a time of significant investment in community-based behavioral health Collaborate with a passionate leadership team committed to meaningful impact #J-18808-Ljbffr
