Responsibilities Create an optimal weekly production schedule for each machine or assembly line to support the master production schedule while supporting efficient use of manufacturing resources and minimal work-in-progress (WIP) inventory levels. Monitor daily production schedule by comparing actual production to schedule and resolve any schedule conflicts as needed. Monitor daily scrap and cycle count adjustments to ensure that assembly production can be supported. Establish daily machine priorities based on the shop floor feedback on production progress. Create and maintain accurate planned schedule completion dates for discrete jobs in Oracle. Monitor MRP outputs and exceptions reports to adjust discrete job schedules and to maintain optimal inventory levels. Review Oracle schedule recommendations, manufacturing lead time calculations and report all inaccuracies or differences between standards and demonstrated capacities to manufacturing managers and Industrial Engineering groups. Support maintenance department by providing scheduled downtime for machines based on the published preventive maintenance schedule. Compile and maintain records, such as material inventory, WIP reports, and status and location of materials. Other duties as assigned.
