Senior Operations Associate - Investments

Company: Private Credit and Asset Management Firm Role: Senior Operations Associate Salary: $160,000 - $175,000 + bonus Location: New York City (Hybrid – 3 days a week onsite) About the role A growing investment platform focused on credit-oriented strategies is looking to add a Senior Operations Associate to support a range of trading and investment activities. This individual will play a key role in ensuring transactions are executed, recorded, and maintained accurately across a variety of asset types, including privately negotiated investments. This position sits at the intersection of investment teams, counterparties, and internal functions, helping coordinate processes tied to deal execution, settlement, and ongoing portfolio management. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with complex transactions, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Be Doing Support the end-to-end handling of investments, from initial booking through settlement and ongoing lifecycle activity Help manage operational aspects of privately negotiated transactions, including documentation review, funding coordination, and tracking of key deal terms over time Maintain accurate records across internal systems and ensure investment data is consistently updated Monitor cash activity and assist with funding requirements related to new and existing positions Act as a point of contact between internal teams and external partners such as administrators, agents, and service providers Assist with ongoing changes to investments, including amendments, restructurings, and other event-driven updates Contribute to operational processes tied to a broader investment portfolio, including tracking activity such as capital movements and distributions Partner with colleagues across teams to identify ways to improve workflows, reduce risk, and enhance controls Support onboarding processes for new relationships, accounts, or initiatives, including coordination with compliance and external parties Background & Experience Bachelor’s degree required 3+ years of experience in finance, operations, fund administration, or a related field Familiarity with credit-oriented or privately structured investments is helpful Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze and reconcile financial data Effective communicator, comfortable working across teams and with external stakeholders Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy Exposure to investment systems or platforms is a plus Highly organized, detail-focused, and proactive in identifying issues Team-oriented but also able to work independently when needed Willing to roll up your sleeves and adapt as priorities shift Interest in building a long-term career in investment operations #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
