About the Position

The RRT will be knowledgeable and proficient in a wide range of Respiratory Care procedures and protocols, including but not limited to:

• Non-Invasive Ventilation: CPAP/BiPAP

• Airway Clearance: Chest Physiotherapy

• Medication Delivery: Aerosol Therapy

• Gas Therapy: Oxygen Therapy

• Lung Expansion: Incentive Spirometry

• Life Support: Ventilator Management

• Diagnostics/Monitoring:

  • Pulmonary Screens

  • Hemodynamic Monitoring

  • Pulse Oximetry

  • Set-up and use of various monitoring systems

• Departmental Involvement (as needed): Pulmonary function testing, SCNY, endoscopy, education programs, performance improvement, and new projects.

Requirements

Education

• Required: High school diploma or equivalency.

• Preferred: Associate degree or Bachelor degree from a minimum of two (2) years of college education.

Experience

• Required: One (1) year experience.

• Preferred: Critical Care Experience.

Licenses/Certifications

• RRT Credential: Must be a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner as recognized by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).

• State License: Must have a valid Oregon license to practice as an RCP.

• Life Support: BLS from the AHA (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
