Customer Support Specialist

This is an on-site, part-time position based in Virginia Beach, VA, for a Customer Support/Service Representative. Attention to detail is critical. In this role, your primary responsibilities include team success, kitting and packaging companies products, inventory assessments and accountability, assisting customers with inquiries, ensuring satisfaction, resolving complaints, and providing support to enhance the overall customer experience. You will represent the company by delivering professional and responsive service while maintaining a high standard of excellence in customer and product interactions. Qualifications Proficiency in Customer Service, Customer Support, and Customer Satisfaction Ability to enhance Customer Experience and ensure the delivery of high-quality service Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred High school diploma or equivalent qualification Primary Role: managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and coordinating shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Responsibilities include providing quotes, tracking shipments, resolving transit issues, and handling necessary documentation and invoicing. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Core responsibilities Customer communication: Serve as a point of contact to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide updates to customers and carriers. Order processing: Enter customer orders into the system, process small parcel and truck orders, and handle credit card orders. Shipment coordination: Book and schedule pickups and deliveries, prepare bills of lading, and issue shipping instructions. Tracking and problem-solving: Monitor shipments in transit, proactively address any problems, and ensure timely delivery. Quoting and invoicing: Prepare quotes for customers, calculate shipping costs, and work with the accounting team to prepare invoices. Essential skills and qualifications Communication: Excellent listening, speaking, and written communication skills are needed to interact with customers, carriers, and internal teams effectively. Problem-solving: The ability to handle customer complaints, resolve conflicts, and find proactive solutions for shipping-related issues. Organization and attention to detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are crucial for managing orders, tracking shipments, and handling paperwork. Technical skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software for order entry, tracking, and potentially accounting-related tasks. Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with other departments, such as accounting and operations, is essential. Processing returns and claims. Reconciling freight bills.
