Applicants must hold a teacher license in the state of TN or a comparable license in another state.Please contact Ben Foust at View email address on us.fitly.work or Mandy Starrett at View email address on us.fitly.work for details.Qualifications:Bachelor 's Degree (minimum) and Teaching CertificateCompleted degree or course of study in a field related to the subject you will be teachingSupervised classroom experienceStrong communication and organizational skillsResponsibilities:Teach students in a classroom setting, managing their work output in the classroom and behavior daily.Develop teaching and learning materials for use in class, including lesson plans, exams and homework, homework and projects, and assignments that make use of all student skills.Modify lesson plans and materials as needed to make them suitable for students' current learning levels.Monitor and track student progress and issue grades.Maintain relationships with parents and legal guardians of students in order to keep them informed of their child's progress.Work collaboratively with other teachers and administrators, including special education teachers and teacher's aids, to provide individualized support for each student on a regular basis.Collaborate with other teachers in order to share best practices and provide meaningful feedback regularly.Ensure that students meet educational standards and school performance goals for their grade level.Managing large groups of students with diverse needs, maintaining classroom discipline, responding to student behaviors, adapting to unexpected situationsRegularly standing and moving around the classroom, lifting and carrying materials, writing on boards, reaching for items on shelves, prolonged periods of sitting.
