Medical Device Assembler

Job Title

Pay Rate: $20.25 per hour

Location: Plymouth, MN

Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Assemble medical devices and related components in a manufacturing cell.
• Perform detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery per documented procedures.
• Conduct electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
• Clean tools and equipment per documented procedures.
• Dispose of hazardous waste material in corresponding hazardous waste areas.
• Use microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering, adhesive bonding, and operate various equipment.
• Perform visual inspection and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
• Conduct tests on units using computerized test equipment.
• Repair and correct devices/components using microscopes and applicable tools.
• Package devices ensuring all parts are accurate and documentation is complete.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 1 full year of medical device experience required.
• Medical device assembly experience of at least 2 years (catheter or small component assembly preferred).
• Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and SOPs.
• Quality inspection and attention to detail.
• Basic documentation and compliance in a GDP/GMP environment.
• Frequent use of a microscope for assembly and inspection.
• Primarily sitting (approximately 70–80% sitting, 20–30% standing depending on task rotation).
• 7th grade reading and comprehension level required.

• Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to explain past roles and responsibilities related to the position.
