Unit Type: Surgical Telemetry
Number of Beds: 19
Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge, 3-4 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), 1-2 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 Charge, 3-4 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), 1-2 PCTs
Patient Ratios: 1:6
Equipment Used: Baxter IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Role Responsibilities:
- Ambulation of patients
- Wound care as needed
Required Skills:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
Preferred Skills:
- Charge nurse experience
- Preceptorship experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

- A strong sense of teamwork
Our department prides itself on a supportive culture where staff work collaboratively, particularly during busy shifts. We have an admissions and discharge team that assists with the process for Medical-Surgical patients, ensuring streamlined care.
