Substitute Van Driver

**Position includes assisting Special Needs students**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Safe Transport : Drive assigned routes on time while obeying all traffic laws ad school board of company regulations.
• Passenger Assistance : Help passengers board and exit the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts, securing tie-downs, and fastening specialized seat belts or car seats.
• Vehicle inspections : Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip safety checks of the vehicle, equipment, fluid, levels, and tires.
• Behavior & Safety Management : Maintain a calm environment, monitor passenger safety, and follow specific individual behavioy support or emergency protocols.
• Communication & Logs : Keep accurate daily mileage, attendance, and indcident logs; communicate clearly with parents, school staff, or transportation.

No CDL required.
