Position Type: Instructional/Educational Support: Non-Certified/ Paraeducator: Special Education Date Posted: 8/14/2026 Location: Sweeney Elementary School (High-Needs School) Position Description Assist the classroom teacher by helping physically, mentally, and/or educationally disadvantaged students acquire skills that will broaden their educational experiences and contribute to their development, and assist in creating a classroom environment conducive to learning for all students. Essential Functions Assist students with physical and/or educational needs both individually and in small groups. Collaborate with classroom teachers regarding students' needs and requirements, including IEP goals. Provide escort and mobility assistance to student(s) when necessary Receive oral or written instructions from the supervising teacher Maintain student records, including progress reports, attendance, and other relevant information.
