This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $33.00 - $44.00 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $70,000 - $90,000. Summary Of Position We're looking for an ambitious Civil Engineering student who's ready to launch their career as a Civil Engineering Designer . You'll join a collaborative team and help bring exciting land development projects from concept to construction. Responsibilities Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions to project challenges Preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D Research regulatory requirements and design standards Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements Preparation of detailed technical reports and project presentation materials Assist project engineers in completing projects in a timely manner and within project budgets Attend project meetings Qualifications We’re looking for talented professionals who are eager to grow their skills and contribute to high-quality, meaningful work. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role: Currently enrolled as a Senior, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 EIT is a plus but not required Experience working with Civil 3D and AutoCAD software is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability and willingness to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes, support better decisions, and increase efficiency Demonstrated ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, protect confidential information, and remain responsible for the final work product Work Location This is an onsite role based out of the following Core States Group offices: Kent, WA; Bellevue, WA; Richland, WA; Roseville, CA; Bentonville, AR; Frisco, TX; or Philadelphia, PA.
