INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST

University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Radiology offers an opportunity for an INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST. Work Schedule Full time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week Day shift Occasional weekend call Responsibilities Assist radiologists in performing interventional procedures. Assist physicians in performing interventional diagnostic exams and procedures. Assist radiologists in performing angiographic, interventional, neuro‑injection, neuro‑embolization, and other radiographic procedures. Perform assigned radiographic exams and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards. Prepare and position patient for exam. Scrub and assist the radiologist, cardiologist, or neurosurgeon; set up sterile procedure trays; circulate and monitor patient during exam. Administer contrast, IV fluids, and medications, and monitor patient vital signs post‑injection in accordance with hospital guidelines. Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and processes per department policies. Qualifications Completion of formal technology training in an AMA‑approved school and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist. Equivalent education or experience.
