Job Title: Inspector Packer Job Description

The Inspector Packer works at the end of a production line that manufactures plastic and foam cups, clamshell to-go containers, small condiment containers, and related food packaging. This role focuses on carefully inspecting finished products, accurately counting or weighing them, and packaging them according to specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

• Inspect plastic and foam cups, clamshell containers, small condiment containers, and related food containers at the end of the production line to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Count or weigh products accurately based on specified quantities and prepare them for packaging.
• Package products into plastic sleeves or bags and seal the ends according to established procedures.
• Place packaged products into boxes following specific packaging and labeling requirements.
• Assemble and make boxes as needed to support continuous packaging operations.
• Organize, stack, and load filled boxes onto skids in a neat and stable manner.
• Use a manual pallet jack to move products within the production and staging areas when required.
• Stand at a work table for extended periods while performing repetitive packing and inspection tasks.
• Lift and handle products and boxes weighing up to 2025 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Document production information both in writing and on a computer, including pulling up job orders, updating numbers packed, and recording any inspection deviations.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Move between multiple inspection and packaging stations as needed to support production flow.

• Prior production or manufacturing experience preferred, particularly in packing, inspecting, or packaging environments.
• Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure accurate counts and weights.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift while performing repetitive tasks at a work table.
• Ability to lift and move 2025 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Reliable and consistent attendance to support continuous production operations.
• Basic computer skills to pull up jobs and update production and inspection data.
• Ability to document information clearly in both written and electronic formats.
• Comfort working in a loud, warm to hot production environment.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, including hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses.

• Experience working with food-grade packaging or similar products is an asset.
• Familiarity with using a manual pallet jack in a production or warehouse setting.
• Ability to move efficiently between multiple stations and adapt to changing production needs.
• Strong organizational skills to stack, load, and stage finished products safely and efficiently.
• Comfort working around machinery that may generate heat and slight plastic odors.

The area can be warm to hot due to the heat generated by the equipment, and there may be a slight plastic odor present. Team members must wear a hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses at all times to maintain safety and cleanliness standards. The role requires standing for an entire shift, performing repetitive tasks at a table, lifting up to 2025 pounds frequently, and moving between multiple inspection and packaging stations. Manual pallet jacks are used to move skids and products within the production and staging areas, and employees work closely with others to maintain an efficient and organized workflow.

This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Lancaster,PA.
