Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Locums

Job Description:

A dynamic locum NP/PA with trauma surgery expertise is invited to join a high-volume trauma program as a hospitalist-style clinician for a flexible, multi-month assignment with coverage from May through July and potential for additional hours.

You will function as a trauma hospitalist, rounding on admitted patients (primarily adults and adolescents), addressing intermittent ED trauma activations, and performing essential procedures such as non-invasive ventilation management, chest tube insertion, central and arterial line placement, and suturing.

You'll work under the supervision of a trauma surgeon 24/7, with no separate hospitalist service, and participate in daily rounds, discharge facilitation, and ER admissions while maintaining autonomy in patient care.

Ideal candidates are board-certified ACNP/AGNP or PA-C with inpatient trauma ICU and/or orthopedics experience, hold a current state license, possess ATLS/PALS/ACLS, and are comfortable with modern EMR systems; local candidates are preferred.

• Minimum 1 year inpatient APP experience in trauma ICU/orthopedics
• Credentialing costs not reimbursed by North Memorial
