Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Lifepoint Therapeutics, you will:

• Direct and execute individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function based on patient capabilities.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they implement care plans effectively and provide high-quality service to clients.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests and assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional performance.
• Assess home environments to promote rehabilitation and recommend modifications to enhance client independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, including administering therapeutic exercises and hands-on treatments.
• Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices for clients, communicating any necessary adjustments to the physician.
• Document clinical records carefully, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences and treatment planning.
• Provide education and training to clients and families about their therapy plans and the proper use of therapy devices.
• Complete on-site functional assessments and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned to achieve organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia without any history of sanctions or board proceedings.

• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for accurate documentation and patient management.
• Strong understanding of current physical therapy techniques grounded in research, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
