We are seeking a creative thinker who can leverage both traditional and non-traditional approaches to identifying excellent talent and has a deep-seated passion for Starlink’s mission to connect the unconnected.Successful candidates will have outstanding communication skills, be self-motivated, hold themselves accountable, have a willingness and drive to manage a demanding high-volume workload, strong presentation skills, and experience working successfully in a team environment. Comfortable communicating with all levels of stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES:As a SpaceX recruiter, you will run a full desk with a variety of duties and responsibilities focused on the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of top talent candidates to fill mission critical positions. In many cases, you are candidates’ first encounter with SpaceX, and it is your job to represent the company with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm. We work in teams and focus on collaboration yet require a high degree of autonomy. So, while you are not expected to simply go at it alone, you are expected to show initiative, take responsibility, and run with tasks to completion. Your day-to-day routine will change often as hiring priorities shift, but there is a basic set of activities you can expect to run daily, including, but not limited to:Review internal and external applications, conduct passive candidate searches, interview candidates, and act as a consultative recruiting partner to clientsDeeply understand each role's requirements and how it fits into the organizationDevelop and execute strategies focused on creating and maintaining a strong pipeline of passive talentDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates through clear and consistent communicationFind creative ways to capture the attention of candidates during initial outreach stagesManage a high volume of clients and requisitionsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of recruiting experience; or associate degree and 2+ years of experience; or 3+ years of professional experience as a recruiter in lieu of a degreePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:2+ years of recruiting experience in engineering, supply chain or other niche disciplinesExperience with in-house recruitingStrong tenure with demonstrated success in recruiting rolesFull life cycle recruiting experience, from sourcing to closingComfort with reviewing, evaluating and reporting on recruiting dataAbility to distinguish between the top 50% and the top 5% of talent within their respective fieldsDemonstrated expertise in non-standard recruiting methods: cold calling candidates and companies, organizing and executing ad hoc networking events, identifying industry experts and finding unique methods to engage with them, creating unique targeted sourcing campaigns, etc.Comfortable interfacing directly with hiring managers including director and VP level technical leadersAbility to build strong relationships with both hiring managers and candidatesAbility to accurately present but not oversell candidates to client groups; influence decisions by acting as the subject matter expert on talent but avoid dictating client decisionsAbility to multi-task and operate with little direction while still being an active team memberADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Available to work extended hours and weekends as neededThis position is based in Palo Alto, CA, and requires being onsite full-time – hybrid and remote work will not be consideredCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:Level 1: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00Level 2: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
