Senior Director, Global Quality

Overview:The Senior Director, Global Quality provides enterprise-wide leadership for Celanese's global Quality strategy, governance, and performance. This role is responsible for Quality monitoring, improvements, Quality Management Systems, Supplier and Contract Manufacturing Quality, Logistics Quality, Manufacturing Quality support, and customer Quality experience and customer complaint management. Working closely with business, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial leaders, the Senior Director develops and deploys quality strategies, capabilities, and technologies that mitigate risk, enhance customer satisfaction, improve operational performance, and support sustainable business growth.Responsibilities:Develop, own, and drive the global Quality Improvement RoadmapSupport corporate strategy to achieve excellence in Quality Drive Quality elements for the Enterprise, both Engineered Materials and AcetylsProvide strategic direction and technical guidance for Quality Management System Support and System TechnologyLead and support a global team to Manage Change Controls and leverage the Document Control SystemEnsure Quality Design & CertificationSupport planning & coordination of Quality system upgrades across all Celanese sitesDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with key Quality related vendors and organizationsDrive New Supplier Qualification Management, Manage Supplier Quality Performance, Improvement of current suppliers and Logistics Quality elements as wellProvide alignment and improvement on Contract Manufacturing / Toller Quality and other aspects to ensure business and manufacturing criteria are metPrioritize and support resolutions of Quality notificationsPartner with senior leaders, site leadership, Quality teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and successful execution of the global Quality strategyManufacturing Quality Support in alignment with the Manufacturing sitesSupport Customer Specific Requirements and quality contract reviewsDrive Customer Quality Experience & Customer Complaint ManagementProvide expert troubleshooting support and technical leadership to resolve critical Quality challenges across Manufacturing sitesEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and customer requirements including ISO standards, GMP requirements where applicable, UL certifications, product certifications, and external regulatory obligationsLead development of enterprise Quality capability, including succession planning, competency models, training programs, and leadership development to strengthen Quality capabilities across the organizationQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sciences, Data Analytics or a related technical discipline15+ years of experience in the chemical, petrochemical, polymer / compounding, or related process manufacturing industriesStrong knowledge of Quality systems and statistical technologies / toolsDemonstrated success implementing, standardizing, and governing Quality Management Systems across multiple manufacturing sites and regionsLeadership ability to navigate and support customer facing functions, business imperatives, and operating manufacturing sitesUnderstanding of the business and operational drivers for Quality programsDemonstrated financial acumen and experience supporting technology investments and deployment decisionsDemonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire global technical teams while driving enterprise-wide initiatives and organizational changeProven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior leadership and build alignment around implementation strategies and business objectivesProficiency in working with external parties to resolve Quality notifications, adopt new Quality learnings, and improve product performanceASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent certifications preferredDeep understanding of ISO 9001 and other industry-specific quality standards applicable to chemical and advanced materials manufacturingJob SummaryCity: IrvingState/Province: Texas
