This full-time remote position allows you to provide essential mental health support to a diverse population of clients while enjoying the flexibility of a work-from-home setting. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to create a comfortable and distraction-free work environment while connecting with clients through secure video platforms. You will have access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions, manage treatment plans, and track progress efficiently. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Client Assessment: Conduct thorough client assessments to determine mental health status and needs through virtual sessions.

  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop tailored treatment plans and therapeutic approaches based on clients’ specific conditions and cultural backgrounds.

  • Ongoing Support: Meet regularly with clients to provide ongoing therapy, introducing coping strategies and resources to help them navigate challenges.

  • Collaborative Care: Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, when necessary, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress within our EHR system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied clientele, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma-related issues, and more. You will be equipped to address a range of cultural backgrounds and life experiences, providing a supportive and understanding environment for each client. Your role will be crucial in helping clients to set and achieve personal goals while overcoming mental health barriers.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current, valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
  • \n
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • \n
  • Experience in providing culturally responsive and compassionate care.
  • \n
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients.
  • \n
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems and virtual therapy platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

  • Previous work in a community health clinic or similar environment.

  • Familiarity with group therapy facilitation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

River Valley Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
