Position Summary

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Part-Time Ice Cream Parlor Associate. This position is responsible for providing great customer service, preparing and serving ice cream products, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and helping with the day-to-day operation of the parlor.

This is a customer-facing position that is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organized during busy periods, and is willing to help wherever needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders and accurately operate the point-of-sale/register system.
• Scoop and serve ice cream and prepare cones, cups, sundaes, shakes, and other menu items.
• Follow proper portioning, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Restock ice cream, toppings, cones, cups, napkins, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, serving areas, equipment, tables, floors, and customer areas.
• Wash and sanitize utensils, containers, and equipment.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as scheduled.
• Work cooperatively with other employees to keep service moving efficiently during busy periods.
• Follow all company food safety, workplace safety, cash-handling, and customer service procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Friendly attitude and willingness to interact with customers.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and customer transactions.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety procedures.

Schedule and Availability

This is a part-time position with hours based on business needs. Applicants should have some flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume periods. Weekly hours may vary depending on the season and customer demand.
