Material Handler

Location: Newark, CA
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00
Schedule: Full-Time, 40+ (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) M-F

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support production operations by ensuring materials are delivered, prepared, and replenished throughout the facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production flow and ensuring production teams have the materials needed to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and replenish materials to production lines and workstations.
• Load carts according to established quantities and production requirements.
• Monitor production areas and proactively request additional materials as needed.
• Package, palletize, and strap materials for storage or shipment.
• Assist with receiving, inventory movement, and warehouse activities.
• Perform computer data entry and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines.
• Support production and warehouse operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience required.
• Experience with receiving and inventory processes.
• Computer data entry experience.
• Crating and uncrating experience preferred.
• Experience packaging, palletizing, and strapping materials.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
