Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.Starlink is revolutionizing global connectivity as the world's largest satellite-based ISP, powered by our vast satellite constellation and global ground infrastructure.The Infrastructure Operations team oversees suppliers, costs, and delivery of the ground network worldwide. We're seeking talented team members to grow and manage our global antenna ground stations (Gateways) and datacenter points of presence (PoPs). In this high-impact role, you'll cultivate strategic partnerships with key ground infrastructure suppliers—including datacenters, fiber companies/ISPs, internet exchanges (IXs), and other in-region partners—to identify, deliver, and operate Starlink's ground infrastructure. As our footprint expands, you'll tackle challenges in supplier management, cost optimization, speed to activation, service delivery, and reliability. We're looking for creative, fast problem-solvers who thrive on challenges outside their comfort zone.RESPONSIBILITIES:Find and establish the regional and global supplier partnerships needed to acquire, build, expand, and successfully operate Starlink’s ground infrastructureExecute long-term agreements with major suppliers by negotiating creative and flexible contractsEnsure procurement and delivery of regional ground infrastructure is completed on time and on or under budgetMeet aggressive targets for spend/suppliers, speed, and quality in accordance with regional and team goalsCultivate the business, cultural, technical, and regulatory expertise needed in your region to assess and ensure the health and reliability of our current and future ground infrastructureDrive improvement, standardization, and scalability of planning processes, workflows, tools, and resourcesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of experience working in one or more of the following fields:Hardware or product managementEngineeringProcurementSupply chain managementStrategy and operationsTechnologyPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience managing an international supplier base or working internationallySelf-starting, able to identify areas for improvement with minimal directionExperience in managing technical or construction projects from beginning to endAbility to tackle complex and ambiguous problemsExcellent project management, communication, and organizational skillsDevelopment experience in Python, C# or other object-oriented languageExperience or interest in data analysis, data visualization, and/or financial analysisDemonstrates commitment to SpaceX’s goals of reusability, renewability, and sustainabilityADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing to work long hours and occasional weekends when necessary to support launch and critical project timelinesWillingness to travel to domestic and international infrastructure locationsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Sourcing Specialist/Level I: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/per yearSourcing Specialist/Level II: $95,000.00-$120,000.00/per yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
