Work Environment

This position involves working onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center, which is designed for high patient throughput without compromising care quality. You will be part of a compact and skilled team comprised of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering an environment of support and shared expertise. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance while tackling a rewarding caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' needs and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient, using best practices in evidence-based interventions.
• Manage a caseload effectively, with an expectation of treating one patient per hour while ensuring quality outcomes.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription methodologies to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists—to provide integrated and holistic patient care.
• Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans as needed based on assessment data and feedback.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment details in compliance with regulatory standards using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients seeking rehabilitation services for orthopedic conditions. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders who aim to regain functionality and enhance their quality of life. By using cost-effective treatment strategies, you will minimize reliance on medications and provide valuable alternatives to surgical interventions, fostering a proactive approach to health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Clean record with no board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise sciences.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for accurate documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, enhancing your understanding of patient needs in rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated results in developing tailored exercise programs that cater to a diverse patient demographic.
• Ability to work within an interprofessional team, showcasing excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, with an annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
