Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to coordinate comprehensive patient assessments, execute clinical diagnostics, and support the physician during treatments. This role is essential in maintaining high facility standards and ensuring a seamless clinical experience for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather detailed medical histories, including hereditary ocular conditions and medications.
• Conduct clinical diagnostics, such as sensory-motor evaluations and intraocular pressure monitoring.
• Support physician during laser treatments and minor surgical procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and manage inventory levels.
• Resolve technical issues with specialized equipment like autoclaves and tonometers.
• Optimize patient throughput and manage appointment recovery efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare or as an ophthalmic assistant.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work at varying locations.
• CPR Certification.

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting or as an ophthalmic assistant.

Skills

• Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
